… Best V-day ever?

valentine's sunset
can you imagine sparkles in the air around you, sparkles on the snow beneath your skis, and skiing through pow-shots of more sparkles as the sun sets? sounds like the best valentine’s day ever.

Sun Valley Feb 1st

Spent a few days in Sun Valley with my family for Superbowl weekend. Cassidy came up and hung out for a few days. Jill took us around in Ketchum as she usually does… I had a blast with my brother, Cass, Ivana, Marta, and Jill out for a night. Then the real treat was skiing with Andy Sabatier and Zack Leader. Both guys were patient enough to wait for the gong show that unavoidably is myself and my family when attempting to coordinate. Once we got together they took us for an INCREDIBLE ski through the ‘burn zone’ off the backside of Bald Mountain. My brother launched a huge fronty and my dad went off his first cliff ever at 55! WHAT? Not only GREAT POWDER; it was surreal and special. I needed this day of skiing. It was incredible.  Thanks to Andy Sabatier I was out and shredding again for the first time in  three weeks…

Crested Butte for a week

Filming in Crested Butte with Warren Miller from Feb 4-12. I was shooting with Wendy Lynsey and Grete… and “the band”. We had a riot with everyone–the Warren Miller crew, the band, and the athletes–incredible chemistry… and  tons of good times. We had an absolute blast. The snow in CB is better than it’s ever been. We shredded around through some of the sickest pow and steepest runs in the US. WOW. Thanks for incredible treatment from Crested Butte and our awesome mountain guide Eric “H” Baumm!
