Tour For the Cure

April 26-27 2008 – Through the vision of Kelly Holland, the Wasatch mountains found themselves the overnight home for 11 women touring for the first (hopefully) annual “Tour-for-the-Cure”. We raised money for over a month to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation in hopes that the women would reach the hypodermic needle in the Wasatch backcountry. While we did not in fact reach the needle– the tour was epic fun just the same…… there was a bottle of champagne passed around in plastic glasses after dinner……and it was a learning experience for everyone with the packing of an overnight-pack –but mostly for Kelly and I…imagine skiing with this sucker… then imagine Kelly Holland=the smallest girl on the tour skiing with the heaviest pack?? Thanks Kelly… for the insight that enabled all of us to have such a great experience.
